Sun Valley Sea Kayak Tours
Instructional day tours on Magic and Little Wood Reservoirs.
Hop aboard our stable double and single kayaks and join our expert guides paddling the beautiful canyons and shorelines of these two great man made lakes near Sun Valley. At Magic we'll start at the Moonstone Landing and paddle the Western reaches of beautiful Magic reservoir with its rock cliffs covered with multi-colored lichen, small islands, and populations of wild birds. Little Wood reservoir offers an incredible display of the Pioneer Mountains with its jagged snow covered peaks and its abundant bird wildlife.
We'll demonstrate and practice loading and unloading into the kayaks, and the basic paddling strokes. Our guides will lead the group to the best viewing and paddling areas.
All necessary sea kayak equipment and a great lunch are provided!
Bring your binoculars camera, footwear that may get wet, and outdoor clothing for the weather of the day.

NW Oregon multi-sport adventure will be based out of Astoria, the oldest American town west of the Mississippi and farthest
Western destination of the Lewis and Clark "Corps of Discovery Expedition".
We're based out of Clementine's Bed and Breakfast centrally located in this early American port town.
Our package includes 4 nights stay, Sunday through Wednesday nights, with 4 days of activities, Monday through Thursday.
Our travels will hike us through ancient and old growth Sitka Spruce forests with spectacular views of pristine ocean beaches, we'll kayak to protected islands on the Columbia River harboring rarely seen wildlife, and bike the back country roads along one of Oregon's famous scenic wild rivers.

Your nights will be spent in one of the oldest Victorian homes in Astoria, every morning wake up to the warm hospitality of Clementine's and one of the deliciously prepared breakfasts. We provide great lunches for the exciting daily guided trips, and the evenings are free for you to dine at one of the many excellent restaurants in the area.
You are welcome to come early and stay late at Clementine's!

These exciting paddling trips on the Lower Columbia River will enable you to explore the same paddling routes that Lewis and Clark used on their last push to the Pacific coast. Based out of Astoria, Venture Outdoors provides this opportunity with modern day kayaks, discovering the unique landscapes and reliving the history of the Corps last remaining days of their
Western destination
Our sea kayak explorers will discover the unique landscapes, flora, wildlife and history of the lower Columbia. Our low impact camping and interpretive style makes this an experience never forgotten.
Every night we'll camp on an island very near Lewis and Clark's actual campsites, every morning you will wake up to a warm deliciously prepared breakfast, then we'll pack up and head out for an exciting day of kayaking. The evenings will be spent around the campfire, dining on delicious meals prepared by our expert chef/guides and trading river stories both old and new.
You are welcome to come early and stay late at Clementine's B & B, our base in Astoria. Kayak equipment, meals, guides, and water transfers provided. Optional rental camping gear and airport transports available.
